As the general Tech fake news media has already reported multiple days ago (they are less lazy than me and did significantly mo-,.. less research than I did) there is a “bug” in the Pixel 3XL software which results in a second notch on the side. As reputable sources confirm this is however not a bug, but just an accidental roll out of Pixel 4 features.

The Pixel 4 (releasing Oct. 4 2019) will be featuring a secondary notch on the right screen border. This notch area will supposedly feature a new so called “GDPR-Button” to comply with EU rulings, a press on that button will delete all your data and all data stored about you by Google (and Space-X if you happen to be an employee there). Another effect of this warmly welcomed secondary notch is that it will make the experience of using the phone in both landscape and portrait more uniform again.

What we also know about the Pixel 4 by now is that it will be available in “Not not pink” which is a more pink variant of “Not pink” and it will most probably be almost 100% bezel less to make room for a larger notch.

I wish they add a notch on the left hand side to maintain symmetry
