Alright folks, idek how tf should i start with this, but i think i have substantial proof to say that Amir is a wizard of some sort.

Around 24 hours ago, at the time of writing this, u/AmirZ, (or @mirai or whatever. this guy’s mess of nicknames spread around the internet is impossible to figure out) ported the squeeze-to-assistant functionality to non Pixel phones (or HTC, or whatever phones have force sensors for those triggers) via a simple apk that just works like magic.

“Another small side project I started yesterday
It tries to detect when you squeeze your phone and launches Google Assistant, like Pixels”, Bitch calls it ‘small’ but you bet this is the future of peak smartphone performance.

The UI in this is just an act of God. Beautiful, simple, and following Google’s MD2 guidelines.

Fun fact: you can press down from the sides or up and down (if you’re into that) since magic rules don’t care which way the universe is facing.
