Happy Late Pie day!
Google’s YouTube Music and Premium services just arrived to a bunch of new countries, and besides the -at first glance- somewhat confusing pricing system, since both subscriptions are kind of tied to each other, i can find a couple of issues that don’t quite convince me about the new music streaming part of the service
- 1- The Audio Quality (?)
Some of the songs are taken from already uploaded videos, which might be an issue if the audio is poorly compressed, but actually nobody cares unless you’re a lil’ bitch and call yourself an audiophile.
- 2- Google Play Music still is a thing
Not much to say here either, but why would you lean towards some sort of music/video hybrid thinghie when you have a completely functional and dedicated music streaming app? (Besides the fact that if you have a GPM subscription, you’re already a YT Music subs as well, so you aren’t losing anything, really)
- 3- yeah i have nothing else to say regarding the subject
Still the price structure is nice, especially if you were a GPM user before the launch, since the full YT Premium experience is available for just 120ARS (roughly 3USD at the time of writing). Anyway gtg cus there’s an anti-vaxxer outside my window and I’m scared pls send h
