Lenovo shows off the world’s first `Foldable PC`

The tablet can fold, tilt and slide up to 11×9, with a 7″ screen that can make a huge difference to typing, according to an image shared with us. It is the world’s first foldable computer on the market, according to the company, and comes in two different sizes. Powered by an NVIDIA Tesla-powered Tesla mobile graphics chip, Lenovo’s tablet can fold at least 1.24 inches. Lenovo has also developed other smart tablets, including tablets that could be used for e-books and online shopping.

It is based on China’s Huawei device and uses an Intel Core i5, 16GB memory and 128GB storage. The company says it is a premium offering, and doesn’t ship the device in its normal price of around £450. The device can run the tablet or phone in full screen mode via a dual-screen option for a total of up to eight displays. The tablet and phone are integrated into an integrated power bank so there’s no need to connect the two devices directly. Both the tablet and phone work with one USB-C cable. The USB-C port can also be used for charging the tablet or phone as well.

This PC has a beautiful color, with a clear light LED at the base which flashes to indicate what’s in this foldable laptop! What’s even better is that it packs a fully featured 16GB SSD so you have plenty of space in your notebook. “There are some things you can use the tablet for, and there are other things you can’t use it for”, said the company’s Paul Lee, who joined Lenovo to lead the research division. Lee is part of Lenovo’s research and development team in China that is working on the tablet, as it is based on a prototype first announced last year at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
